Please add tackles and headers to the game some day!.. I had wanted a proper PC version of Sensi Soccer for years and Yoda is perfect except for those 2 missing things - without them it doesn't match the full Sensi gameplay. I would offer to do it myself except my coding skills are no use. Thanks for sharing all your hard work with us!

Hi dermot_trellis,
these are the features which will be added in the future, in order to complete the game:

- tackling/heading
- free kicks/penalties
- improved AI
- custom tournaments
- predefined competitions
- tactics editor

A new version featuring a tactics editor (compatible with SWOS) will be released in the following weeks.

Ciao,
Massimo

That sounds great! Thanks for your reply Massimo. I thought maybe this project had stopped, it's good to hear you are still working on it. I am making Euro 2012 teams in Yoda, I know you can't put them in the game officially but maybe I'll upload them somewhere if people want them.

Hi,
at present it's not possible to save diy competions.

This feature will be implemented in a future release.

I did not know it's possible to obtain the dev version. How do I do?
Does it need to be compiled?

Hi OckHAM,
yes you need to compile the source code:
- get the BlitzMax demo: http://blitzmax.com/Products/_index_.php
- get the latest source code: http://yodasoccer.svn.sourceforge.net/v ... /?view=tar
- launch BlitzMax, open main.bmx and click on the flying rocket (Build and run)

Thanks, please keep it on with the dev of this wonderful game, it's still the best independent football soccer and I remember how good was, some years ago I think, the "new" control mode you adopted :) With a decent AI this would be really a crack :)

(Remember, as I told many years ago: in the future, with a netcode, this will be an incredibly popular indie game: thousands of players would play if you allow an online mode)

Thanks for the encouragement, OckHAM :)

The upcoming beta will be the last one with the old control mode. A lot of code refactoring has been carried out during the last year. Now that the code is much better, it will be easier to integrate the "new" control mode and to build a new AI.
